Position is Temp to Perm

Requirements for the position are:

  • A valid CSCS Card & Banksman Ticket
  • Previous experience on site (MIG & Arc Welding, Hydraulics & Electrics)
  • References upon request from previous employers
  • Experience in Vehicle Repair (Including HGVs)
  • LGV Class 1-2 & CPC in transport & City & Guilds in commercial/plant vehicle repairs
  • Full UK Driver's License

* Prepared to develop and undertake relevant training and qualifications

* Able to complete record sheets, paper or electronic

* Able to take responsibility for plant, equipment and vehicle defect inspections

* To understand and be responsible for their own safety and that of others

* To be available for emergency and/or winter call outs

* Ability to use own initiative

* To understand and be responsible for own safety, plus that those around them

* Promote safe working practices and ensure Health and Safety

* To undertake servicing and repairs to all equipment in line with the manufacturer's instructions at any designated workshop facilities.

* Be able to work on own initiative and plan own workload

* Willingness to undergo specialist equipment training by equipment manufacturer.

* To willingly carry out any reasonable task as requested by a member of management

* Courteous and prompt telephone manner

* Keeping all promises within deadlines agreed

* Consistently working at a level consistent with, or higher than, agreed divisional service level

* To actively foster a positive staff morale

* To willingly carry out any reasonable task as requested by a member of management

  • Manual Handling & Abrasive Wheels certification
