Rullion are looking to recruit for the following role:

  • Proposals/Quotations Engineer
  • Location : Worcester ,UK
  • ASAP Start
  • Duration - 6 months initially (With further rolling or permanent opportunities)
  • Inside IR35
  • Rate : £23.50 Per hour + TBA
  • 37.5 Hours Monday to Friday (Flexible working hours )
  • Hybrid Model -3 days a week on site.
  • DBS Required

As a member of the AM Engineering team, the Quotations Engineer will work closely with the customer, and internal cross-functional teams to develop and deliver quote packages. They will take ownership of the opportunities from bid decision to quote submission, in addition to providing pre-sales support. Through consultations with engineering, operations, quality and suppliers the quotations engineers shall review the manufacturability, estimate costs and define the scope of the project.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Support and interact with customers and sales team throughout the bid process
  • Help customers to understand minimum requirements defining the RfQ package, Define project scope in consultation with customers and MSL
  • Liaise with customers and technical experts to help develop product definitions
  • Take ownership of opportunity from bid decision to quote submission
  • Identify subcon requirements and Liaise with subcontractors at quoting stage
  • Provide ROM quotes, business case calculations to internal and external Sales team
  • Receive inputs from cross functional teams to develop costing and understanding technical challenges
  • Complete formal quote documentation and provide quote package to sales team
  • Maintain and manage quote process and tools

What You Bring

  • Experience of engineering or sales within a manufacturing business
  • Experience generating project proposals and costing
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings and employed manufacturing methods
  • Experience in customer facing role
  • Project management experience would be beneficial
  • Basic experience in CAD packages at a minimum (NX or similar)
  • Experience with Additive manufacturing preparation suites (Magics or similar) would be beneficial
  • Competent in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Comfortable discussing, explaining, and debating complex technical problems with customers and the local manufacturing and engineering teams

About the team

You will work within the AM engineering team at Materials Solutions in Worcester. You will also work closely with the local and global sales teams, quality, operations and production engineering.
