Leading manufacturer and supplier of precision engineered components to a wide range of sectors is seeking a Metrology Technician to join their Continuous Improvement team on a permanent basis, working on site at their prestigious facility in Worcestershire.


Commutable from:  Worcester, Leominster, Malvern, Hereford 

Salary:  Negotiable + Excellent Benefits including Pension and Bonus 


The Role

The Metrology Technician will be responsible for the measurement and inspection of precision engineered components within the measurement laboratory focused on dimensional inspection including GD&T.

You will use both manual and electronic measurement tools to evaluate and ensure dimensional accuracy of products.

Working within the CI team, the Metrology Engineer will be responsible for driving the continuous improvement of quality systems and measurement analysis systems.

Additionally, you will ensure that best practice is followed to meet required quality standards, reduce risk, and drive down scrap, waste, and customer complaints. 


The Person 

The successful candidate will be experienced within Quality Inspection systems and CMM programming - OGP experience preferred).

You will have valuable experience in reading and understanding technical drawings and relevant experience with tools such as 8D, PPAP and ISIR.

Ideally you will have a level of experience in using CAD software to produce and examine component models and technical drawings (preferably SolidWorks) and Measurement System Analysis exposure is highly advantageous.

Previous quality inspection/metrology work with plastic moulded or precision engineered metal components is also highly desirable for the role, in addition to excellent communication skills both written and spoken.
