Due to increased demand within the department, our client now has a requirement for a Senior Production Engineer.

Your main purpose is:
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Key duties will be within the engineering department working on BOMās and project associated tasks, there will be an element of āhands onā involvement in production when reviewing and implementing changes or dealing with production concerns.
DIMENSIONS
Understand engineering principles, tolerances, materials and specifications when processing customer technical drawings.
Understanding of fabrication techniques such as but not limited to ā laser cutting, folding, welding, heat treatment, thread inserts, bonding, plating and painting.
Understanding limitations of machinery make āin houseā vs sub-contract work.
Understanding of build sequence to generate production BOMās and route cards.
Generating production parts, assemblies, fixings and consumables withing ERP BOMās.
Provide Production Engineering input as required to future business opportunities / bids.Ā
Ensure the integrity of systems data, including MRP system is maintained to latest standards / versions, and is robust.
Provide technical support to Production, and Inspection personnel, ensuring all queries are addressed in a timely order.Ā
Evaluation of āBuildā documentation, identifying opportunities for improvements and further requirements.Ā
Promote the planning and co-ordination of effective production and quality product(s).
Fully understand the client brief, design requirements, and production specification.
Take an active role in the project management cycle of the manufacturing of the product.
Manage Process Procedures and Work Instructions.
As appropriate, interface with existing, and potential customers.
Produce and maintain associated documentation, including Process Instructions, Test Instructions, and BOMās, as applicable.
Utilising the business MRP system for costing of materials.
Generating, analyse and process ECN requests and applications of non-conformances, technical concerns, Engineering Change Notification, FAIRās, and Concessions.Ā
Establish strategy and best practices, to compliment and ensure achievement of key business objectives and work specifically to meet performance goals and departmental objectives including KPIās.
QualificationsĀ
- Mechanical Degree or similar Preferred.
- Accredited in an applicable and equivalent engineering discipline.

Previous experience
ESSENTIAL
- Minimum of 3 years current experience within a similar position, industry, and engineering environment (mechanical and electrical systems).
- Ā Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- A sound background and experience of document and data control.Ā
- Quality aware and experience of working within a customer focused environment.
- Experience with detailed report writing, WIās, PIās, QA, and Safety.
DESIRABLE
- Experience of working within the guidelines of BS EN ISO 9001, 14001, 45001-(18001), 3834, EN 15085.
- Experience of working within industries of Defence, Aerospace, Rail, and application of Def-Stan / Mil-Std, and RI.
- Knowledge of lean and six-sigma methodologies.
Package:
- Monday ā Friday (subject to change depending on business requirements)
- Core Hours 07:45 ā 17:00 Monday ā Thursday and 07:45 ā 13:00 on a Friday.
