The Role

Gleeson Recruitment Group is pleased to partner with a leading retailer in the Midlands to recruit a Social Media Executive. This full-time, permanent role is based at the client's Worcestershire office, with a focus on creating and managing social media content across multiple platforms to drive brand awareness and engagement.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to implement a dynamic, social-first strategy- Develop engaging video and static content tailored for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn- Plan and implement social media content both on-page and off-page, working with key stakeholders from marketing and category trading teams- Coordinate with agencies to select influencers aligned with campaign goals and brand standards- Maintain a well-structured social media content calendar that is customer-focused and supports core business campaigns- Create, monitor, and optimise paid social campaigns across platforms, with a focus on achieving exceptional performance metrics- Collect and incorporate feedback from Category Trading teams to refine content strategies- Conduct competitor analyses to stay updated on best practices for both organic and paid social formats- Report on campaign performance and make data-informed recommendations for future content

Candidate Criteria

- Strong knowledge of social media algorithms and trends across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn- Experience in creating engaging video content optimised for social platforms- Skilled in paid social ads on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, with a record of driving successful campaigns- Confident communicator, comfortable working with both internal stakeholders and external agencies- Analytical mindset, with the ability to evaluate campaign data effectively- Copywriting skills with a flair for creating engaging, on-brand messaging- Proven ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
