- Perform dimensional and visual inspections on aerospace components, assemblies, and raw materials to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Operate and utilize CMM equipment (e.g., PC-DMIS, Zeiss CALYPSO, or similar) to inspect components and generate measurement reports.
- Interpret technical drawings, including GD&T, to ensure product conformity.
- Conduct first-article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final inspections, documenting results in accordance with AS9102 requirements.
- Identify, document, and report non-conformances, collaborating with quality and production teams to implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate and organized inspection records, ensuring traceability and adherence to quality standards.
- Perform manual inspection using tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and surface plates as required.
- Assist in maintaining and calibrating inspection equipment, including the CMM.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on inspection processes and quality control procedures.
- Proven experience as a Quality Inspector within the aerospace, automotive, or precision engineering industries.
- Hands-on experience with CMM operation and interpretation of results (experience with PC-DMIS, QUINDOS, or CALYPSO software is advantageous).
- Strong understanding of GD&T and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with aerospace quality standards such as AS9100, ISO 9001, and NADCAP.
- Experience conducting first-article inspections (FAI) to AS9102 standards.
- Proficiency with manual inspection tools and techniques.
- High level of attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is desirable, but equivalent experience will be considered.
