Owen Daniels are supporting a leading Manufacturing business in recruiting for a Quality Inspector on a contract basis.M-Fri (Days)Hourly rate: £14 per hourThe Role:
  • Perform inspections on incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and blueprints to assess product quality.
  • Use a variety of measuring tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM (coordinate measuring machines) to conduct inspections.
  • Identify defects, deviations, or non-conformance issues and document findings in inspection reports.
  • Work closely with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist in developing and improving quality control processes and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and calibration data.
  • Support internal and external audits as required.
  • Communicate quality standards and expectations to production staff and suppliers.
  • Follow all safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized inspection area.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment,
  • Strong knowledge of quality control procedures, testing methods, and tools.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards or other relevant quality management systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
