Job DescriptionRole Context:Provide strategic procurement support for the OTM sector, including fitting client-owned and third-party machines requiring retrofit.
Deliverables:
- Phase 1: Discovery/Development (scoping, strategic objectives, procurement approaches, supply chain understanding, stakeholder engagement, schedule integration, lessons learnt, project tools development, external influences).
- Phase 2: Develop delivery and sourcing strategy (requirements/options for scoping, commercial/funding models, sourcing options, GBR and rail reform).
- Phase 3: Governance support.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and enhance project-specific procurement strategies.
- Perform procurement and contracting activities.
- Provide procurement advice on portfolio issues.
- Support pre-contract procurement of main contractors.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Manage preferred suppliers and develop positive relationships.
- Identify cost reduction and efficiency opportunities.
- Manage supplier performance feedback for continuous improvement.
