Job Description

Role Context:Provide strategic procurement support for the OTM sector, including fitting client-owned and third-party machines requiring retrofit.

Deliverables:

  • Phase 1: Discovery/Development (scoping, strategic objectives, procurement approaches, supply chain understanding, stakeholder engagement, schedule integration, lessons learnt, project tools development, external influences).
  • Phase 2: Develop delivery and sourcing strategy (requirements/options for scoping, commercial/funding models, sourcing options, GBR and rail reform).
  • Phase 3: Governance support.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and enhance project-specific procurement strategies.
  • Perform procurement and contracting activities.
  • Provide procurement advice on portfolio issues.
  • Support pre-contract procurement of main contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Manage preferred suppliers and develop positive relationships.
  • Identify cost reduction and efficiency opportunities.
  • Manage supplier performance feedback for continuous improvement.
