Our Water construction client are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team working on their Severn Trent Water framework working on their Worcester Wastewater treatment works.

The position is a salaried, full time permanent role with hybrid working across site, office and home.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the Natural Resources team supporting them in managing the commercial aspects of schemes between 5m-20m in value on both clean and dirty water treatment plants. These projects are of a civils / MEICA nature, looking at upgrade and resilience works of these established sites. The main initial site this commercial role will look after is the Worcester Wastewater Treatment works.

  • Managing the commercial resources (people and finance) of assigned projects to maximise planned gross margin through the placement and control of contracts and subcontracts
  • Assessing, reviewing, and mitigating commercial and contractual risks
  • Completing and supporting the authorisation and submission of project variations
  • Maximising cash flow through the control, measurement (including quality) and valuation of work, and the invoicing of customers and payment of suppliers

Skills/experience/qualifications

  • You hold a degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying
  • Experience working with complex civil projects within the water industry.
  • NEC3/4 experience ideal
  • Applications from candidates with experience in other sectors are welcome
