Role Summary

Manage and oversee building services maintenance across multiple public sector facilities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as an Authorised Person (AP) for disciplines such as Medical Gas Pipeline Systems (MGPS), High Voltage/Low Voltage systems (HV/LV), and ventilation.
  • Leading the maintenance team to ensure compliance, efficiency, and high standards.
  • Managing statutory and mandatory requirements, planned preventive maintenance (PPM), and site safety systems.
  • Overseeing site budgets and ensuring value for money.
  • Coordinating with capital projects and ensuring adherence to Health Technical Memorandums (HTMs).

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide professional estates advice and support the Head of Estates in achieving organisational objectives.
  • Manage specific projects and contribute to strategic planning.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, responsive services.
  • Drive service improvements and innovation.
  • Lead and support the Estates Team, ensuring effective performance reviews, training, and compliance with health and safety policies.
  • Provide expert guidance and promote professional development within the team.

Key Candidate will have:

  •  Relevant qualifications in engineering, facilities management, or a Building Services.
  • Prior experience as an Authorised Person (AP) in disciplines such as MGPS, HV/LV systems, or ventilation.
  • Ability to manage budgets, deliver projects, and maintain compliance with industry standards.
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Note: This position involves physical activity, driving in varying conditions, and occasional on-call responsibilities.
