Hours: 1865 hours a year. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.
Working 5 days a week. Shifts with be 7.5 hours during the summer period (March-October) and 6.5 hours in the winter (November- February). Working from 9am at the earliest to 5:30pm at the latest.Â
Salary: £11.64 an hour

What it's like to work hereReporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, you'll be based at Brockhampton, (near Bromyard, Herefordshire, WR6 5TB), a 1,700-acre farmed estate with a romantic timber-framed manor house dating back to the late 14th century. There are miles of walks through the park and woodland, featuring ancient trees and the Lawn Pool. As well as the manor house, Brockhampton also has a chapel, second-hand bookshop and the Granary kiosk located in the courtyard.Â
To find out more about what it’s like to work in a food and beverage team for the National Trust, click here to watch our video. What you'll be doingYou will be working in a busy kiosk and supporting the running of the business by placing orders, completing food safety paperwork and leading a small team each day to deliver a great customer service and financial contribution.
As a Team Leader, you’ll be giving day-to-day support to your team, to make sure they’re consistently giving great service to everyone who comes to the café. This is a busy, lively place to work, so you’ll need to be adaptable.
Your focus will be front of house, dealing directly with people and serving them food and drink. Crucial to this role will be your love of working with people, your positive ‘can-do’ attitude and your desire to provide an outstanding service.
Using your excellent eye for detail, you’ll make sure all displays and signs are accurate, and that the food is looking good. At times, you may need to help the kitchen team with preparing food.
You’ll also be supervising the induction and training of colleagues, to help build a team that’s dedicated to great service and to giving people a day to remember.
We’ll give you an induction that fits the job, and training in allergens and food safety, plus any mentoring needed to help you in your role. You can sign up for further professional training and development if you wish.Â
