Business Development Manager (Construction) - Worcester - £60,000 basic plus Bonus upto £60K

We are working with a construction company, who are seeking a Business Development Manager to join their expanding office in Worcester. 

The business development Manager must have a proven working experience as a Business Development Manager or senior sales executive in a construction related role.

The Successful Business Development Manager's role will be to continually improve individual and team performance in order to deliver service excellence, and achieve & exceed set targets. Leading by example you will be making pro-active sales calls and generating sales opportunities for the B2C and B2B market.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Research, identify and implement a successful sales strategy for new markets and customer needs
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
  • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
  • Establish effective sales processes, maintain records on CRM, sales, revenue, invoices etc.
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople
  • Contribute to the overall ethos/aims and objectives of the Company
  • Participate in training, other learning activities and performance development as required.
  • Attend and participate in relevant meetings as required.

Experience & Skills required:

  • Proven working experience as a Business Development Manager or senior sales executive in a construction related role.
  • Possess a detailed understanding and experience of property construction and / or fenestration projects.
  • Possess a good understanding of marketing within a home construction environment and / or fenestration.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and time management skills.
  • Be able to demonstrate a proven and successful track record of achieving and bettering sales targets
  • Clean driving license
  • Time management and planning skills
  • Articulate and good presentation skills
