Smart Education is currently recruiting for an English Teacher to work full-time in a specialist SEND/SEMH school in Worcester.

About the Role:As an English Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering a bespoke curriculum designed to meet the individual needs of students aged 11-16 who struggle to access mainstream education. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging English lessons tailored to students' academic and emotional needs.
  • Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment to help students overcome barriers to learning.
  • Encouraging personal growth and helping students develop communication, literacy, and confidence.
  • Monitoring progress and implementing strategies to ensure students reach their full potential academically and socially.
  • Working closely with a team of dedicated staff to support the unique challenges of each student.

Job Requirements for this English Teacher role in Worcester:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND/SEMH needs
  • Strong ability to create and deliver tailored teaching approaches
  • Commitment to supporting students in overcoming barriers to learning and achieving academic qualifications
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Ability to provide two years of employer references
