Smart Education is currently recruiting for a full-time Geography Teacher to work in a specialist SEND/SEMH school in Worcester.

About the Role:As a Geography Teacher, you will inspire students to explore the world around them while helping them overcome the barriers that have prevented them from thriving in mainstream education. You will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and creative Geography lessons tailored to the needs of students aged 11-16 with SEND/SEMH challenges.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and personal development.
  • Support students in developing key geographical skills and understanding while also addressing their social and emotional needs.
  • Monitor progress, celebrate achievements, and implement strategies to ensure students achieve their potential academically and personally.
  • Work collaboratively with a passionate team to provide the best opportunities for every student.

Job Requirements for this Geography Teacher role in Worcester:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND/SEMH needs
  • Strong ability to create and deliver bespoke teaching approaches
  • A passion for Geography and a commitment to making it accessible and enjoyable for all learners
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Ability to provide two years of employer references
  • Reliability, positivity, and resilience to adapt to the challenges of the role
