  • Service Care Solutions is supporting a reputable non-profit provider in recruiting for a Gambling Therapist to provide effective support to service users with addiction to Substance Misuse, Gambling, or Mental Health.
  • Our client is one of the UK's leading charities providing support for those affected by Addictions, offering residential support/treatment for men and women since the 1970s.
  • Key responsibilities for the Gambling Therapist include managing a caseload of residents, providing recovery focused therapeutic advice, and ensuring prompt identification and management of risks and incidents.

Service Care Solutions are supporting a reputable non-profit provider and they are currently recruiting for a Gambling Therapist. As a Gambling Therapist you will provide effective support to the treatment programme in a way that enables service users to overcome their addiction to Substance Misuse, Gambling or Mental Health and move forward to recovery and independent living. You will provide therapeutic treatment that sustains a person's recovery throughout their journey from assessment through to the end of treatment.Our client are one of UK's leading charities to provide support for those who are affected by Addictions. It was set up in the 1970's and they have centre's across the UK offering residential support/treatment men and women. They offer relapse prevention and aftercare programmes, and deliver a unique retreat & counselling programme that combines short-stay residential treatment and ongoing at-home support.Key role and responsibilities for Gambling Therapist;

  • To manage a caseload of residents through structured one-to-one, group work interventions and activities
  • To provide appropriate recovery focused therapeutic advice and support to assist resident with their addictions
  • To signpost and assist with referrals as necessary to other services or external agencies
  • To ensure prompt identification, reporting and management of any risks, incidents and safeguarding following due processes

Minimum requirements for a Gambling Therapist;

  • Educated to Diploma Level 4 in Counselling BACP
  • CBT and/or Motivational Interviewing Training
  • Experience within the Health & Social Care setting
