About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our Adults Area Team at Worcestershire County Council. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable adults within our community. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive needs assessments, developing person-centered care plans, liaising effectively with families, other professionals, and relevant agencies, managing a complex caseload, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality social work services in line with legislation and best practice guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Conducting comprehensive assessments of adults' needs and developing appropriate care plans.
- Managing a complex caseload, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
- Liaising effectively with families, other professionals, and relevant agencies.
- Ensuring the delivery of high-quality social work services in line with legislation and best practice guidelines.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Participating in regular supervision and team meetings.
- Social Work qualification (e.g., DipSW, BA/BSc Social Work)
- SWE registration
- Significant post-qualification experience in adult social work
- Excellent assessment, planning, and care management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel freely throughout Worcestershire (own transport preferred)
