Role: Head of Software Engineering
Location: Worcestershire (averaging 2 days per week in office)
Role: Permanent, Full Time
Package: £100-120K + Bonus & Car Allowance
F5 are delighted to be working with a market leading technology firm who are looking for a Head of Software Engineering to maximise the team's output by supporting them to deliver software quickly, efficiently and to a high standard of quality.
As the Head of Software Engineering, you will be responsible for managing the development of their cloud-native administration system as well as their other Digital products. You will lead a software department comprising of circa 80 Delivery Managers, QA and Engineers both on-shore and off-shore across six teams.
Essential Skills & Requirements:
- Manage multiple software development teams focused on building vertical market software products. (ideally within financial services)
- Experience of management of large scale software development teams.
- Experience of SaaS/Cloud native applications using DevOps based methods.
- Work closely with Product Management team who manage the roadmaps.
- Utilise Agile techniques like Paired Programming and Test-Driven Development.
- Apply a DevOps approach, with CI/CD experience being particularly advantageous.
- Experience with near shore/offshore development teams (advantageous).
