As a SEND Teacher working on a day-to-day supply basis, you will have the opportunity to work in various educational settings, including special schools, and alternative provisions. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and support to pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring that their individual learning needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
-Deliver engaging lessons tailored to the specific needs of SEND pupils.
-Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all pupils feel valued and encouraged to succeed.
-Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies as required.
-Work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and external professionals to promote the holistic development of SEND pupils.
-Provide regular feedback to school leaders on pupil progress and any concerns or issues that may arise.
Requirements:
-Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
-Must have a child and adult DBS OR willing to apply for one
-Proven experience working with SEND pupils, preferably in a classroom setting.
-Strong understanding of different special educational needs and the ability to adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Flexibility and willingness to work across different schools and year groups as required.
