About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Freight Forwarding Controller to join our growing team. This role is perfect for someone with 3+ years of experience in Sea & Air Freight operations within a freight forwarding environment, who enjoys managing the full logistics process from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quoting sea and air container shipments for both import & export
- Booking shipments on the Fast Freight system
- Passing supplier & carrier invoices for approval and payment
- Arranging Certificates of Origin and other relevant shipping documentation
- Liaising with overseas agents and ensuring smooth communication
- Managing the end-to-end freight process, ensuring all shipments run efficiently
- Updating client spreadsheets and tracking systems for shipment visibility
- Invoicing shipments accurately and on time
- Tracking & monitoring shipments, keeping clients informed throughout the process
- Customs clearance is handled by a third-party agent
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years’ experience in Sea & Air Freight operations within a freight forwarding environment
- Strong understanding of import/export processes and documentation
- Experience using Fast Freight or similar freight management systems
- Excellent communication & problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple shipments & deadlines efficiently
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach with a strong focus on customer service
