Back to searchMy client, an automotive company based in Droitwich, is looking to recruit a Fabricator/Welder on a permanent basis.The main responsibilities of the role include- must be able to MIG Weld/fabricate to a high standard (heavy up to 20mm gauge)- work from and interpret detailed drawings- have experience in; plasma cutting, oxy acetylene cutting and manual press brake operations.- experience with hand tools (grinders & drills)As a suitable candidate you will offer the following- The ability to work on your own initiative and problem solve- Adhere to PPE standards at all times- Maintain a safe working environment, always keeping areas clear of debris and hazards and ensuring housekeeping standards are at an acceptable level, recognizing potential/actual hazards and taking corrective actions to minimize accidents.- previous experience as a Welder/Fabricator- Working with commercial vehicles (desirable)- Ability to work well under pressure- Ability to work well as part of a team and under your own initiative when required- Well organized with excellent time management- Demonstrate a desire for self-improvement and enthusiasm- ability to interpret and work from drawingsThe hours for this role are Mon-Fri 0730-1600 with overtime available, the pay-rate on offer is up to £16 an hour Keywords:Welder, Fabricator, MIG, Grinders, Drills, Commercial Vehicles
