Adecco is delighted to be working exclusively with our client in Workington, a well-established and reputable employer providing a range of construction-related services. Due to growth, our client is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to support the Finance Manager.
This is a permanent position with working hours from Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. There may be some flexibility in the hours, and our client is open to offering fewer hours to the right candidate.
The role involves working in a busy and friendly office, where you'll have the opportunity to add value and provide support within the finance team.
Duties include:
- Inputting and processing invoices
- Dealing with suppliers and setting them up in the system
- Processing timesheets
- Managing the purchase ledger
- Managing the sales ledger
- Credit control
- Keeping accurate records of financial transactions, including receipts, invoices, and payments
What we are looking for:
- Solid experience in a finance role
- Accountancy qualifications are advantageous but not essential
- Highly organised individual with excellent attention to detail
- Team player as well as having the ability to work on own initiative
- Proficient in MS applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
