An amazing secondary school/ pupil referral unit in Workington, West Cumbria are seeking an experienced teaching assistant to start in March 2025, or sooner for the right candidate!
The school provides a specialist learning environment for pupils aged 10 - 16 with social, emotional and mental health difficulties ( SEMH ), and class sizes are small - with only 6 students maximum in each class. The school are ideally looking for someone with experience of supporting pupils in an SEN or PRU setting, and are able to support pupils who demonstrate challenging behaviour. The ideal candidate for this teaching assistant role will demonstrate resilience and confidence when developing relationships with SEMH pupils. The school require a teaching assistant to start in March 2025, or sooner if possible, with potential of permanent roles becoming available in Summer 2025. The role will involve working school hours from 8.30 - 3.30pm, with rates of pay available from £90 - £115, dependant upon experience.
