Executive Assistant

Adecco is delighted to collaborate exclusively with our client in Workington, who is seeking an Executive Assistant to join their team. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a market leader in their field, who has grown successfully over the years. The role is very varied, offering the chance to add value and make a difference.

The position is based in Workington, in a lovely, modern office. It is a permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Duties & responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance and support to the Chief Executive, Associate Directors, and the Senior Management Team.
  • Diary management, organising and maintaining calendars, scheduling meetings, and appointments.
  • Travel arrangements including booking travel & accommodation.
  • Meeting support including attending board meetings, taking notes, preparing agendas, and distributing minutes.
  • Document preparation, drafting letters, emails, reports, and presentations using PowerPoint.
  • Event Coordination, planning and organising events.
  • Handling sensitive information with discretion and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Responsible for internal communication & distributing effectively.
  • Occasional travel maybe required.
  • This is a brand new position where you will have the opportunity to develop the role, and the responsibilities may grow in the future.
  • Meeting and greeting visitors where necessary.

Experience & Skills:

  • We are looking for a self-motivated, resilient individual who is a strong communicator and can work on their own initiative and be proactive.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Efficiently manage your own time, meeting deadlines.
  • Ensure accuracy in tasks such as scheduling, document preparation, and correspondence.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint & Team's)

Salary & benefits:

  • Starting salary £28,000 per annum

  • Working hours are 37.5 hours per week based on Monday to Friday 08:30-17:00 (with some flexibility available)
