We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Documentation Engineer to join our team at our Workington Mill. Joining us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return you will receive a competitive salary and become part of our welcoming team.

Holmen Board & Paper is a Swedish company and a member of the Holmen Group. The Workington Mill produces premium paperboard under the brand Incada. Our paperboard is an integral part of the shopping experience for our clients’ customers. Since 2013 we have powered the mill almost entirely by fossil fuel free energy. We value our employees and products highly. Today we are approximately 340 co-workers. Our integrated pulp and paperboard mill is located to the west of the beautiful Lake District in the north of England.

Your future challenge:

A new position has arisen in the Projects Department for a Documentation Engineer reporting to the Project Team Manager.  The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, developing, and updating engineering maintenance information and documentation. 

As our Documentation Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining, developing and updating the Mill asset management system including Documents, Equipment, Parts and Routes for Modifications.
  • Facilitating discussions among Area teams to ensure accurate maintenance information and spare parts are available.
  • Updating of site master layout drawings and P&ID’s.
  • Receiving and processing drawings and documentation.
  • Issuing asset numbers for new equipment in line with the company procedure.
  • The role involves generating maintenance routines for integration into the asset management system and coordinating with the maintenance team.
  • Assisting with the planning and organisation of Modifications where required.
  • Assisting with competence management where required. 

The Documentation Engineer will desirably have:

  • A minimum qualification of HNC in the appropriate discipline, with a preference for degree.
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of 'Windows Office' suite.
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD – further training provided if required.
  • Ideally some experience in the Paper and Board or other heavy engineering/process industry.
  • Appropriate training in Health and Safety (IOSH).
