Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support our educational team in fostering an engaging and inclusive learning environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a commitment to helping students succeed, particularly those with special educational needs. This role involves working closely with teachers to assist in the delivery of lessons and provide support to students, ensuring that all learners can thrive.

Monday to Thursday 8:30- 3:30

SEN teaching assistant secondary school experience required

Duties

  • Assist teachers in preparing and delivering educational materials and resources.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring to students, focusing on their individual learning needs.
  • Support students with special educational needs, including those on the autism spectrum, by implementing tailored strategies to enhance their learning experience.
  • Help maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers regarding student performance and behavior.
  • Assist in the organization of classroom activities, including educational trips and events.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their social and emotional development through mentoring and guidance.

Experience

  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with special education practices and strategies for supporting children with diverse learning needs is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Experience in tutoring or mentoring roles will be advantageous, particularly for candidates who have worked with children on the autism spectrum or those requiring additional support.
  • A genuine passion for educating young people and a desire to make a positive impact on their lives is crucial for success in this role.
