Job Title: Pre-Cast Steel Fixers
Location: Worksop, Nottinghamshire
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
We are recruiting for a leading manufacturer of pre-cast concrete products, supplying high-quality components to the construction industry across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are looking for experienced Pre-Cast Steel Fixers to join our team at our busy Worksop facility.
The Role:
As a Steel Fixer, you will be responsible for assembling and tying steel reinforcement for a variety of pre-cast concrete products. You will play a key role in ensuring our products are built to the highest standards of strength and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and schedules.
- Cutting, bending, and fixing steel reinforcement as per specifications.
- Setting out and assembling steel rebar cages and frameworks within moulds.
- Working closely with production teams to meet daily targets and deadlines.
- Ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Previous steel fixing experience in a pre-cast or construction environment is essential.
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and high-quality workmanship.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices in a factory setting.
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
Desirable but not essential:
- CSCS Card or relevant qualifications.
