SEND Teaching Assistant Vacancy - Worksop

Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?

Academics (a reputable Education Agency) are seeking a committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive learning community to support SEND pupils in mainstream settings local to Worksop, Nottinghamshire. This post is a temporary, part-time post which is term-time only and is due to commence ASAP.

As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students with diverse learning needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

? Working closely with teachers to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

? Providing one-on-one support to students with SEND

? Assisting in the development and adaptation of learning materials

? Supporting students in building social and emotional skills

? Collaborating with other professionals, including therapists and specialists

? Monitoring and recording student progress.

? Supporting primary schools in the Worksop area

To excel in this SEND Teaching Assistant role, we require:

- A relevant qualification in Special Educational Needs or Supporting Teaching and Learning

- Experience working as a teaching assistant, particularly with students with SEND

- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to the well-being of students

- Adaptability and flexibility in responding to the diverse needs of learners

- Strong communication and teamwork skills

- The ability to easily commute across Worksop
