Purpose of the Creative Developer:

Our client is seeking a talented and motivated Creative Designer/WordPress Developer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for design, a passion for user experience, and strong technical skills in WordPress development. This role requires a balance of creativity and technical expertise to create visually stunning and highly functional websites.

Key Duties:

Design & Creativity:

  • Conceptualise and design visually appealing and user-friendly websites, ensuring a seamless user experience.
  • Create wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes to communicate design ideas effectively.
  • Develop brand-consistent graphics, icons, and other visual elements for websites and digital marketing materials.
  • Stay updated with the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies to ensure innovative and cutting-edge designs.

WordPress Development:

  • Develop, customise, and maintain WordPress websites, ensuring optimal performance and responsiveness.
  • Implement custom themes and plugins to enhance website functionality and user experience.
  • Collaborate with the development team to integrate front-end designs with back-end functionality.
  • Conduct regular website maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting to ensure website security and functionality.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with clients, project managers, and other team members to understand project requirements and deliver exceptional results.
  • Present design concepts and progress updates to stakeholders, incorporating feedback and revisions as necessary.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet the highest quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Creative Designer and WordPress Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) or equivalent.
  • Expertise in WordPress development, including custom theme and plugin development.
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
  • Knowledge of responsive design principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
