Your role:

As a Lecturer in English, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our students. You will deliver high-quality teaching and ensure that students are fully prepared for higher education or employment. Responsibilities include planning lessons, assessing student progress, and promoting work experience opportunities.

Key duties:

  • Teach and assess on a range of courses appropriate to your skills and qualifications
  • Support student development through individual learning plans and goal setting
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices
  • Take responsibility for pastoral care and student progression
  • Promote student enrichment activities and work experience placements

What we’re looking for:

  • Relevant teaching experience and qualifications (or willingness to work towards one)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Must hold a current enhanced DBS
  • Experience of working with students of varying abilities
  • A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and diversity
