your role will involve:
- Creating and engaging students with captivating and inspiring science lessons to include a variety of demonstrations, group work, hands-on activities and individual projects, to encourage learning through different methods.
- Developing and delivering a comprehensive science curriculum which encourages students to explore and inquire further.
- Effectively assessing and managing students progress and providing effective and constructive feedback to aid individual learning needs.
- Maintaining positive relationships with students, staff and parents or carers, promoting student's personal growth and well-being.
- Working closely and collectively with other colleagues in the schools' science department, to coordinate lesions, curriculum and practicals.
to be successful in this role, you should:
- Hold a QTS or degree qualification in teaching (PGCE or an equivalent)
- Have strong knowledge and understanding of the science curriculum
- Have a passion for science and building curiosity within your students
- Have previous experience teaching science-related subjects
- Obtain an enhanced DBS
- Have strong behaviour management skills, being able to manage and support students of different learning abilities through lessons.
- Strong patience and time management skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, maintaining effective relationships with students, support staff, and parents or carers.
- Be committed to working collaboratively as a team.
