GXO are looking for a Stock & Systems Controller (Logistics Lead) to join our B&Q site in Blyth – S81 8PU. You will be the systems subject matter expert on site, ensuring that the FLM’s are fully enabled to deliver site KPI’s.

This is a full time, permanent position, where you will be working on an ‘any 5 from 7’ shift pattern. The days and hours of work are typically Sunday to Thursday, 22:00 – 06:00. However flexibility is required, this is logistics after all!

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Plan, co-ordinate, supervise and report upon the work activities of the warehouse operatives, enabling the FLM’s to provide effective communication, leadership, succession planning, motivation and training & development
  • Process stock orders, load planning, and various stock handling duties using the Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), following the correct procedures
  • Be the point of contact for any systems and stock issues, finding resolutions as a Super User
  • Plan and assist the department in all stock counts and audits of inventory ensuring integrity is maintained at all times, also establishing preventative measures and best practices

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Experience of inventory and stock processes within a warehouse environment
  • Previous experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (JDA/Red Prairie highly desirable)
  • A good working knowledge of Excel, to include pivot tables and v look ups
  • Effective communication, problem solving and time management skills
  • Able to be a team player or work independently, with the flexibility to be 'hands on' when required
