Job Description:

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Library and Digital Assistant to our client’s team who are an educational provider in the Worksop area. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for supporting learning and providing excellent customer service in a library or public sector environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students and staff with accessing library resources, including books, digital materials, and online databases.
  • Provide outstanding customer service at the library helpdesk, responding to queries in person, by phone, and via email.
  • Support learners in developing digital literacy skills, including navigating e-books, online research tools, and IT systems.
  • Maintain and update library records, issuing and returning books, and handling overdue notices.
  • Assist with the organization of library spaces, ensuring a welcoming and efficient learning environment.
  • Support administrative tasks, such as data entry, stock management, and resource cataloguing.
  • Promote library services and digital learning tools to students and staff.
  • Assist in delivering workshops and induction sessions on library and digital resources.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in customer service and administration, ideally within a public sector environment or library.
  • Strong IT skills and confidence in using digital resources, including Microsoft Office and library management systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support diverse users.
  • A proactive and organized approach to work, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
