Reed - Further Education are seeking a Library Assistant to work in there state of the art digital and learning centre.

What’s the day-to-day responsibilities of a Library Assistant?

  • Supporting the front desk
  • Signing out resources
  • Assisting with the resetting of passwords
  • Supporting learners with digital skills such as google
  • Ensuring the space is kept tidy and organised
  • Dealing with learners who may misbehave
  • Helping learners use the equipment i.e printing.

What are the required skills and qualifications needed for this role?

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience of working in education would be ideal
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour.
  • Experience interacting with 16–19-year-olds in education or apprentice setting.
  • Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Reed Compliance
