Senior Maintenance Engineer

Location: Worksop
Salary: 40,000 per annum + Bonuses + Overtime Opportunities
Hours: Regular Days (Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week)
Contract Type: Permanent

About the Role:


We are seeking a Senior Maintenance Engineer to join our client in Worksop. This is a leadership role within our maintenance department, created due to an internal role change. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our diverse range of equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead maintenance activities across the site, including routine and reactive maintenance.
  • Work on a wide variety of equipment, including overhead cranes, gas furnaces, forklift trucks, and automated treatment plants.
  • Perform fault finding and repairs on PLC-controlled systems and conventional contactor relay systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics accurately.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot 3-phase power systems, motors, and other electrical components.
  • Collaborate effectively within a small maintenance team to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualifications:
    • Apprentice-trained engineer with a Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
    • Additional certifications or qualifications demonstrating electrical competency are advantageous.
  • Experience:
    • Proficient in electrical system fault finding on PLC and contactor relay systems.
    • Skilled in reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
    • Experience working on 3-phase power systems and motors.
    • Previous experience in a heavy engineering environment.
