About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into classrooms in the absence of regular teachers, ensuring students remain engaged and productive. You’ll manage a variety of lessons across different subjects, maintaining order and supporting students’ learning. Key Responsibilities

Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring continuity in learning.
Deliver pre-set lesson plans and encourage active participation.
Manage classroom behaviour, fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
Support individual students as needed, answering questions and keeping them on task.
Report any incidents or issues to senior staff promptly.

Requirements

A strong passion for education and working with young people.
Previous experience in a classroom or youth work setting is desirable.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
The confidence to manage classrooms effectively and adapt to different situations.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
