W Talent is partnering with a highly respected manufacturer located in Worksop to find a detail-oriented, progressive Quality Technician to join their expanding quality team.
What You'll Be Doing:
As a Quality Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring products meet strict quality standards and industry regulations. Your work will support both day-to-day operations and long-term product improvement strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out regular inspections on raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products through visual checks, dimensional analysis, and performance testing.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of inspections and quality metrics, supporting audits and ongoing improvement.
- Identify defects or non-conformities, conduct investigations, and collaborate with production and engineering to resolve issues.
- Work closely with teams across production, engineering, and R&D to ensure continuous quality enhancement.
- Help develop and update quality control procedures in line with evolving standards and best practices.
- Use quality tools (such as 5 Whys, Pareto charts, and fishbone diagrams) to investigate and address recurring quality issues.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO and other relevant certifications.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain quality testing equipment for accurate and reliable results.
- Support training efforts for production teams and champion a culture of quality throughout the organization.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a candidate with some experience in a quality inspection, engineer, control or assurance role, ideally within a manufacturing setting. Familiarity with manufactured products would be an advantage. The ideal person will be highly detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills and a understanding of quality tools such as Six Sigma and ISO standards.
