We are currently seeking an experienced CPCS Slinger to join our team at a well-established precast concrete factory in Worksop. This is a temp-perm opportunity, offering the chance to secure a permanent role with a leading company in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely slinging and directing cranes to lift and move precast concrete products around the site.
- Ensuring proper communication with crane operators and other team members to guarantee smooth, safe operations.
- Performing pre-lift checks to ensure all lifting equipment is in good condition and safe to use.
- Following all safety protocols and procedures while working on site, including the use of PPE.
- Coordinating the unloading and placement of precast concrete elements in accordance with project requirements.
- Assisting with the daily set-up and maintenance of lifting equipment.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and site-specific protocols.
Requirements:
- Valid CPCS Slinger ticket.
- Previous experience working as a Slinger on construction or precast sites.
- Strong understanding of lifting operations and health and safety regulations.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Physically fit and able to work in a demanding environment.
- Ability to work flexibly, including shifts if required.
- A proactive and safety-conscious attitude.
