Qualified PE Teacher Location: Worksop Start Date: Immediate Salary: £140 – £190 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education is seeking a qualified and ambitious PE Teacher to join a secondary school in Worksop from the Easter term 2025. The ideal candidate will be confident in delivering both practical and theoretical aspects of Physical Education and familiar with the UK National Curriculum up to GCSE level (preferable but not essential).

Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging practical and theoretical PE lessons to secondary students.
  • Follow the UK National Curriculum and ideally be comfortable teaching up to GCSE level.
  • Encourage physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship in students.
  • Ensure effective behaviour management in line with school policies.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Uphold safeguarding and child protection policies.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) achieved through BA/BSc Honours with PGCE, SCITT, IIT, or GTP.
  • Recent experience teaching PE under the new GCSE marking scheme.
  • Strong understanding of both practical and theoretical aspects of Physical Education.
  • A commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
  • Ability to provide a ten-year career history with references covering the last two years.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
