The Community Development Worker will co-ordinate community learning provision in line with funding requirements. They will also assist in the co-ordination of events throughout the year.Main Duties of the Community Development Worker:

  • Assist the Adult Community Learning Manager so that targets for community provision can be met
  • Co-ordinate correspondence, marketing and administrative tasks for community learning
  • Develop long-term strategies to meet the skills needs of the community
  • Liase with community groups and businesses to build up strong connections
  • Co-ordinate the promotion of the community learning provision

Role Criteria:

  • Experience of community development in a similar role
  • Experience of working in a FE or similar environment
  • Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and team working
  • Ability to work in an organised and methodical manner
