Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for work in Worksop?

Winner Education are seeking a Teaching Assistant to work with a school who provide independent special educational needs placements and are market leaders in alternative provisions in the midlands. This role is a full-time permanent position to start as soon as possible. The ideal candidate must have previous experience within SEN support, a valid driving licence and you must enjoy working with children you support and strive to ensure each child can achieve their true potential.

LOCATION: Worksop

HOURS: Full time (Monday – Friday), 9am-3pm, school term time only

PAY: £85-105 per day

START DATE: ASAP

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support Hub Manager and Lead Teachers with planning, preparation, and assessment of an innovative and flexible curriculum.
  • Teach on a 1:1 and/or small group sessions as required
  • Pick up and drop off your student (therefore a car is required)
  • Play an active part in the developments of the school by supporting curriculum and development strand leads to drive forward improvement strands in a positive way.
  • Encourage learner involvement in the decision making and the management of their programmes to support and maintain high learner engagement levels.
  • Be a role model for Teaching Assistants and act as an ambassador for the Company's values and professional behaviours.
  • Carry out additional duties as reasonably requested by the Hub Manager and be responsible for your own continuous professional development.

The successful Teaching Assistant must:

  • Be flexible and innovative.
  • Have at least two years’ experience working with SEN children, young people or vulnerable adults within an education setting
  • Demonstrate experience of working with and developing effective resources for young people with additional needs
  • Hold a relevant minimum qualification of Level 2 or demonstrate previous experience as an unqualified teaching assistant.
  • Demonstrate the passion to ensure each school develops a positive impact on each child
  • Hold key values and ethos of Trust, Innovation and Achievement
