About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be working in an outstanding school, covering lessons in the absence of the regular teacher. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in a classroom setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain focused and engaged with their learning.
- Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans and ensuring a smooth continuation of learning.
- Managing classroom behavior and maintaining a positive, productive environment.
- Assisting students with their work and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Reporting back to the regular teacher about the lesson, student engagement, and any issues that arose.
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident in managing classroom behavior and creating a positive learning atmosphere.
- Adaptable, reliable, and able to step into different subject areas as needed.
- Previous experience working with young people or within a school environment is advantageous, but not essential.
- A genuine passion for education and supporting students' learning and development.
