Join our Engineering team in a FE college in South Yorkshire / Worksop as a Vocational Tutor in Engineering. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in mechanical engineering, particularly those experienced in maintenance, mechatronics, and practical machining. Whether you’re an experienced tutor or assessor seeking a new challenge, this position offers the chance to make a significant impact.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver educational programs including EAL, BTEC, and City & Guilds Engineering at Levels 1 to 3, as well as to apprentices.
  • Work in well-equipped workshops and online through our virtual learning environment using Google Classroom.
  • Equip students with skills for their future through the delivery of outstanding education and training.
  • Inspire students to achieve their potential by developing creative resources to foster outstanding learning.
  • Monitor and track learner progress to ensure positive outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience of employment in a mechanical engineering company, with practical industry experience in Welding, Machining – Manual and/or CNC.
  • Vocational qualification at Level 3 or above in a relevant field.
  • Relevant teaching qualification and assessor’s award, or willingness to work towards these.
  • Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths, or willingness to work towards.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to engage learners using a combination of practical, theoretical, and digital methods.
