Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them succeed in English and Maths? We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Functional Skills Level 2 Tutor to work with learners aged 16-18 who are part of an alternative provision based in Worksop and Newark.

This rewarding role involves working with students who may face challenges in traditional educational settings. Your work will play a crucial part in empowering them to achieve qualifications in English and Maths, opening pathways to further education, apprenticeships, or employment.

Key Responsibilities of the Functional Skills Level 2 Tutor:
  • Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in English and Maths, adapted to meet individual learner needs and abilities.
  • Create tailored learning plans to support students in developing their skills and reaching their goals.
  • Track and evaluate learner progress, providing constructive feedback and modifying teaching methods as required.
  • Identify and address barriers to learning, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment that encourages participation and success.
What We're Looking For:
  • A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent) is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Experience working with learners in alternative provisions, SEN settings, or similar non-traditional educational environments is highly valued.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in teaching Functional Skills English and Maths to Level 2 standards.
  • Flexibility to teach on-site at both Worksop and Newark locations.
