Reed Finance is in search of a Project Accountant to play a pivotal role in supporting the financial aspects and strategic decision-making of projects for our globally recognised client.

The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills and experienced with financial modelling and scenario analysis. This role will initially be on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract, however is highly likely to be made permanent for the right candidate.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Overseeing the financial health of projects by monitoring budgets, tracking expenses, and forecasting future costs.
  • Collaborating with project managers and cross-functional teams to align financial objectives with organisational goals.
  • Developing and maintaining financial models to aid strategic decision-making.
  • Preparing financial reports and presenting findings to stakeholders.
  • Implementing financial controls and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Analysing financial data to identify trends, conducting variance analysis, and providing insights for performance improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable experience in project accounting and financial modelling.
  • A robust understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Capable of communicating complex financial information in a clear manner.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving financial issues.
  • An accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) is preferred.
