About the Role


Are you detail-oriented, motivated, and looking to grow your career in finance? Manpower UK is recruiting for a Finance Assistant on behalf of our client in Worthing. This role is offered on a temporary-to-permanent basis, with the opportunity to become a permanent team member after 3 months.


This is your chance to join a well-established company where you'll play a key role in supporting the Finance Manager and ensuring smooth financial operations.


What You'll Do

  • Prepare and process financial documents, such as account balances and purchase forms.
  • Provide administrative support to the Finance team, including document management and filing.
  • Assist in gathering and organising documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
  • Manage accounts receivable tasks, including chasing overdue debt and resolving queries.
  • Process purchase invoices and assist with accounts payable.
  • Reconcile bank statements and support payment runs.
  • Perform data entry, reconciliation, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Support stocktakes and cycle counts as needed.
  • Liaise professionally with vendors and customers to resolve payment or invoice issues.

Working Hours

  • 40 hours per week:
    • Monday - Thursday: 07:00 - 16:00
    • Friday: 07:00 - 11:00
  • Immediate start available

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: 1-2 years in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping.
  • Skills: Strong numerical aptitude, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and excellent communication skills.
  • Attributes: A motivated team player with high integrity, superb attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
