Location:St Georges Lodge, Worthing
Salary:11.55ph (20 hours per week)
Hours:20 hours per week (12pm till 4pm) 4 hours a day 5 days a week.

We are now seeking a compassionate and creativeActivities Coordinatorto join our team, enriching the lives of our residents through engaging and stimulating activities.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
As an Activities Coordinator, you will play a key role in promoting the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents. You will plan, organise, and deliver a wide range of activities tailored to their needs, abilities, and preferences, from arts and crafts to music sessions and games. Your role will be essential in helping residents maintain their independence, build friendships, and enjoy life to the fullest.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement a diverse schedule of activities to suit all interests and abilities
- Engage residents in both group and one-to-one activities, encouraging participation
- Liaise with care staff, families, and external partners to arrange events.
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment where residents feel valued and involved
- Maintain accurate records of residents' participation and feedback
- Adapt activities to meet the physical and cognitive needs of individual residents, including those with dementia
- Source and manage materials, equipment, and resources for activities
- Support the emotional well-being of residents, building strong relationships with them and their families
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in organising activities, preferably within a care home or similar environment (though not essential, as training will be provided)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and compassionate nature
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and the ability to motivate others
- Understanding of the needs of elderly residents, particularly those living with dementia or other health conditions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt plans and ideas to residents' varying needs
