Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Ball Production Operator to join our operations team. This role is essential for the production of high-quality ball products, utilising grinding and lapping machines. The ideal candidate will prioritise compliance with health and safety policies while maintaining excellent record-keeping and striving for continuous improvement within the production area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understand and implement basic operating and setting procedures for all machines in the ball production area.
- Ensure safe and efficient loading and unloading of jobs, with a focus on reducing setup times and minimising scrap.
- Manufacture balls according to specified requirements, optimising efficiency and output.
- Accurately record measurements and document any issues affecting product quality and run time efficiency.
- Collaborate effectively with the team to maintain proper setup procedures, machining sequences, and dimensions that meet customer specifications.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding stock control, health and safety, and completion of necessary paperwork.
- Maintain cleanliness of grinding and lapping machines as well as surrounding work areas during downtime.
- Perform preventative maintenance and basic in-house repairs on machinery in the ball production area.
- Undertake additional duties as required.
