Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hours per week).

Salary: Competitive Salary, Depending on Experience.

Location: Worthing, West Sussex BN14.

About The Role:

Due to ongoing growth, the company are seeking a skilled CNC/Manual Grinder to join their expert team. They are a well-established precision engineering company specialising in the manufacture of small to medium-sized, high-precision components. Their work demands accuracy, reliability, and a commitment to quality — and that’s exactly what they look for in their people.

This is a hands-on, technical role ideal for someone experienced in grinding operations who takes pride in producing quality work. They are open to providing training for the right candidate to meet their exacting standards, so if you’ve got the core skills and a great attitude, they would love to hear from you.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Set and operate machines such as Jones & Shipman, Fermat CNC Grinder
  • Precision grinding of outside diameters, bores, and surfaces
  • Program and set using Siemens controls (training can be provided)
  • Follow route cards and verbal instructions
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvement and high-quality output

Candidate Requirements:

  • Solid experience in CNC/manual grinding operations
  • Familiarity with multi-change set-ups and tight tolerances
  • A keen eye for detail and a proactive mindset
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • A willingness to learn and develop with support from our team
  • Professional, reliable, and works well independently or as part of a team

Schedule:

  • Monday to Thurs, 7.30am - 4.30pm (30mins for lunch).
  • Friday 7.30am - 1.30pm.
  • Overtime available.
