Graduate Teaching Assistant - Primary School in Worthing

About the role:

This central Brighton three form entry primary school is a friendly, caring school with high expectations for all its pupils. The children are encouraged to explore, discover and question through a range of exciting learning opportunities both within and outside the classroom. The school requirement is for a Key Stage 2 Graduate Teaching assistant to work on a full time basis.

The role is to start June 2024

  • Assisting in the delivery of effective teaching on a one-to-one basis or in small groups

  • Helping with the planning and delivery of lessons

  • Supporting pupils in relation to their educational and behavioural development

  • Preparing classroom resources

  • Providing feedback to teachers and parents

  • Helping with extracurricular activities (e.g. revision sessions)

The ideal candidate:
  • A degree in any subject

  • Enthusiastic and passionate about helping children reach their academic potential

  • Proficient numeracy and literacy skills
