A well-established environmental consultancy is seeking enthusiastic and skilled Consultant Ecologists to join their team. Working with private sector clients, local authorities, and government bodies, they deliver ecological advice and services that help protect biodiversity and support sustainable development.

About the Role as a Consultant Ecologist:As a Consultant Ecologist, you'll be involved in a range of exciting projects across the South-East and nationally. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting desk studies and preliminary ecological appraisals
  • Performing bat roost assessments and Phase 2 habitat surveys for species such as bats, reptiles, amphibians, dormice, water voles, invertebrates, and birds
  • Supporting ecological site works and advising clients on ecological considerations in planning applications
  • Providing practical and innovative solutions that balance development needs with ecological requirements

Consultant Ecologist Requirements

  • Several years' experience within Ecological Consultancy
  • Demonstrable report writing experience
  • Full UK Driving Licence
